Robotics and control systems are one of my many interests, joining this team was a great way for me to further my knowledge about creating mechanisms to play to a certain set of rules. For the 2014 FRC(first robotic competition) game Aerial Assist, our team decided to make a robot which could preform the three primary tasks of the game;blocking, catching and shooting, long story short in the end it was choosing to create a robot that could do all three is what got us to the finals of the competition. Building this robot, I acquired skills like wiring many of the components required for the robot to function, how to create parts out of metal for mechanisms on the robot and how to fix a problem when something goes wrong.
